Senior Backend Engineer

Role overview In this senior backend role, you’ll build and improve services and APIs, working with other teams to turn product needs into dependable backend systems. The position includes developing, deploying, and maintaining services in a cloud environment, with attention to performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities - Work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and shape backend architecture. - Build scalable services and REST APIs in Python using an appropriate framework. - Improve existing code for performance, security, and capacity. - Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams on cloud deployment and service operations. - Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements - Professional experience in backend engineering or a similar role. - Strong Python skills and experience with a framework such as Flask or Django. - Understanding of REST API design and experience building APIs. - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, and Postgres. - A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
