Salesforce Developer

Role overview A Salesforce Developer is needed to extend enterprise Salesforce orgs beyond what declarative configuration can deliver. The role writes Apex and Lightning Web Components, designs integrations with surrounding enterprise systems, and protects test coverage, governor-limit discipline, and release hygiene. It sits inside a delivery squad alongside admins, analysts, and an architect, and is expected to challenge requirements that should be solved with configuration rather than code.

Responsibilities

- Build Apex triggers plus batch, queueable, and scheduled classes against a documented trigger framework, rather than one-off classes per object - Develop Lightning Web Components and extend Aura or Visualforce only where the existing estate requires it - Build and consume REST and SOAP services through Named Credentials and External Services, and implement event-driven flows with Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Pub/Sub API - Design retry, idempotency, and error-surfacing behaviour so failures are visible, not hidden - Develop meaningful Apex tests with real assertions, work source-driven with Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, and unlocked or second-generation packages, and deploy through CI pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or DevOps Center) - Review peers' code, accept review on your own, and work with the architect to translate analyst requirements into technical designs while flagging gaps

Requirements

- Three or more years building on the Salesforce Platform, including production releases in an Agile delivery team - Proficiency with Apex (asynchronous patterns, bulkification, governor limits, large data volumes), Lightning Web Components, Lightning Data Service, and the Salesforce UI API - Strong SOQL and SOSL skills, including selective query design against multi-million-record objects - Comfort with Flow and Flow Orchestration as a first-choice tool, and with Salesforce CLI, sfdx source format, scratch orgs, and package-based development - Integration experience across REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and middleware, with sound judgment about when an integration belongs outside the platform - Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I required, Platform Developer II preferred; working knowledge of the Salesforce security model; Git-based branching and static analysis such as PMD or CodeScan; professional English for direct stakeholder conversations
