About this role
Role overview
Lead frontend architecture for performance-critical enterprise web applications, real-time data visualization consoles, and scalable design system infrastructure. The position centers on eliminating latency in mission-critical dashboards, trading terminals, and multi-tenant SaaS interfaces while upholding strict Core Web Vitals and accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Architect large-scale Next.js and TypeScript applications handling high-frequency telemetry and real-time state synchronization via WebSockets and optimistic update patterns. - Establish enterprise design systems with strict token contracts, headless components, and fluid typography governance. - Enforce sub-second Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and zero Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) across complex multi-tenant dashboards. - Mentor engineering teams on React Server Components, state machines such as XState, and browser rendering pipelines. - Author technical RFCs and benchmark frontend bundles against rigorous performance budgets.
Requirements
- 6+ years building large-scale frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. - Deep expertise in browser performance profiling, rendering pipelines, and Web Workers. - Demonstrated ability to architect composable design systems and state-management architectures. - Strong passion for clean typed APIs, declarative patterns, and automated end-to-end testing with Playwright.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time financial charting libraries (TradingView), Canvas2D, and WebGL. - Familiarity with offline-first synchronization protocols and WebSocket architectures. - Active open-source contributions to UI libraries or developer tooling.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote, full-time, globally distributed. - Compensation of $185,000 – $240,000 plus profit share. - Asynchronous working rituals with an engineering pod structure.
