Lead Svelte Software Engineer

Role overview Lead hands-on frontend development for customizable web components used in partner-facing product integrations. You’ll help shape shared engineering patterns and the design system while building accessible, reliable experiences that work across desktop and mobile contexts. The role is fully remote and begins with a 180-day contract period before potential full-time conversion.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain Svelte web components designed for white-label integration and customization through a theme editor. - Work with a product squad to deliver frontend features and coordinate with product design on reusable, adaptable design-system components. - Contribute to frontend standards, tooling, component architecture, performance, accessibility, and maintainable patterns across teams. - Help ensure the reliability and availability of shipped components, including participating in the squad’s on-call rotation. - Deliver and refine practical solutions with guidance from engineering leadership, using modern development tools to improve delivery.

Requirements - At least six years of professional software development experience. - Strong TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills, including accessibility practices, and experience with a modern framework such as Svelte, React, or Vue. - At least four years building embeddable UI components that partners can integrate independently, including white-label and accessibility considerations. - At least two years delivering production web components embedded in third-party desktop or mobile environments. - Experience contributing to design systems, reusable components, design tokens, shared state patterns, build tooling, and component-driven architecture. - Experience consuming APIs and modeling and presenting data, plus a portfolio demonstrating frontend craft and attention to detail.

Nice to have Experience developing mobile applications with Kotlin or Swift.
