Role overview A senior engineering position focused on operating and hardening a cloud-based network visibility platform so it remains reliable, performant, and compliant with the FedRAMP program. The work blends infrastructure engineering, automation, and the continuous monitoring discipline required for federal-authorized cloud services. It is a remote role based in the United States within the software engineering organization.
Responsibilities - Maintain and improve the availability, scalability, and performance of production cloud infrastructure supporting a network telemetry and visibility service. - Build and operate infrastructure-as-code, observability, and incident response workflows that satisfy FedRAMP control baselines. - Partner with security, platform, and product engineering teams on vulnerability management, change management, and continuous monitoring activities. - Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews to drive durable reliability improvements. - Support assessment and authorization work, including evidence collection, control testing, and coordination with assessors.
Requirements - Senior-level experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a comparable production operations role. - Hands-on familiarity with FedRAMP requirements, security controls, and the federal authorization process for cloud offerings. - Strong background with Linux systems, infrastructure automation, and at least one major public cloud platform. - Experience operating observability stacks, CI/CD pipelines, and incident management practices at scale. - Ability to work effectively as part of a distributed, remote engineering team.
Nice to have - Prior involvement with ATO (Authority to Operate) packages or 3PAO-led assessments. - Background in network telemetry, packet capture, or network visibility and analytics tooling.
