Role overview

This remote full-stack engineering role focuses on building and maintaining modern web applications across browser and server environments. The work combines user-facing interfaces, backend APIs, relational data, automated testing, and collaboration across software projects of varying size. The position is intended for an experienced individual contributor who can work with teams serving North American and international time zones.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript. - Build, test, and evolve internal and public-facing RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Create responsive front-end experiences with React or a comparable declarative UI framework. - Work with relational data stores, including PostgreSQL, in production environments. - Apply established web application design patterns and front-end state management approaches. - Contribute effectively to project discussions and communicate technical topics clearly in English.

Requirements

- At least five years of professional software development experience. - Strong command of modern TypeScript and JavaScript in both browser and server-side contexts. - Significant experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Production experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, with PostgreSQL specifically preferred by the source role. - Experience with React or a similar declarative front-end library. - Hands-on testing experience with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress. - Familiarity with state management patterns and frameworks such as Redux or Flux. - Very good written and spoken English, plus availability to work US time zones.
