Role overview

This full-time backend engineering opportunity is suited to mid-level and senior developers who build production software with Go. The work spans consulting and delivery projects for teams of varying sizes, requiring engineers who can turn business needs into sound technical decisions and contribute from design through reliable implementation.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement backend systems and services using Go. - Apply Go’s standard library, idioms, and commonly accepted engineering practices in production code. - Collaborate with teammates to refine designs and carry solutions through to completion. - Translate business requirements into practical engineering decisions and implementation plans. - Evaluate technical alternatives, identify trade-offs, and communicate recommendations clearly. - Produce maintainable documentation and automated tests alongside delivered functionality.

Requirements

- At least 1 year of professional experience working with Go. - Demonstrable knowledge of Go fundamentals, the standard library, idiomatic patterns, and common guidelines. - Ability to work collaboratively from early design discussions through final implementation. - Strong judgment when converting product or business requirements into engineering choices. - Ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work U.S. time zones.
