Role overview
This remote DevOps engineering role supports reliable, scalable software systems through infrastructure automation, operational administration, and practical DevOps improvements. The work involves helping solve large-scale technical problems, supporting microservices in production, and strengthening the processes used to provision, deploy, monitor, and maintain systems. The position is for an individual contributor who can work US time zones.
Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes. - Administer and support day-to-day system operations to keep services reliable. - Establish and reinforce effective DevOps practices across engineering work. - Deploy and support microservices-based architectures. - Implement monitoring, metrics, and operational visibility for production systems. - Collaborate clearly with technical stakeholders while working through infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps engineer in a fast-paced environment. - Practical experience with AWS infrastructure, including VPC, security groups, ECS, and S3. - Strong containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS. - Experience deploying and supporting microservices in production. - Familiarity with monitoring and metrics platforms; experience with Datadog is particularly relevant. - Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Chef. - Good communication skills and availability to work US time zones.
