Associate Survivability and Operations Analysis Engineer

Role overview This entry-level engineering role supports a defense and advanced programs group within an aerospace company developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The position focuses on incubating, marketing, capturing, and executing advanced programs across the defense portfolio, contributing to survivability and operations analysis work.

Responsibilities - Support the defense and advanced programs team across the full program lifecycle, from incubation and capture through technical, cost, and schedule execution - Contribute to work touching survivability technologies, aircraft survivability equipment, and mission systems - Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and business disciplines to advance program goals

Requirements - 0-2 years of experience in aerospace or a related field - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or math required; master's degree or active graduate enrollment a plus - Foundational understanding of, or academic exposure to, survivability technologies such as radar cross section, infrared, and acoustics - US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance - Basic familiarity with, or interest in, RF, electronic warfare, EO/IR, acoustics, mission systems, sensors, communications, and propulsion

Nice to have - Familiarity with modeling and simulation environments such as AFSIM - Skills in CAD, Python, or MATLAB - Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, or DoDAF - Prior internship or project experience with defense or government customers
