Staff+ Software Engineer, Privacy

Role overview A senior individual contributor role focused on privacy engineering within a software organization. Responsibilities - Design and implement privacy-preserving systems across products, services, and data infrastructure - Lead technical reviews to identify privacy risks in new features, APIs, and data pipelines - Build tooling that supports data minimization, anonymization, and access controls - Partner with security, legal, and policy teams to translate regulatory requirements into engineering solutions - Mentor engineers across the organization and shape long-term privacy architecture

Requirements - Extensive experience as a software engineer, with a track record of Staff-level technical impact - Deep knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies, data protection patterns, and threat modeling - Strong programming ability in languages commonly used for systems and infrastructure work - Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives - Excellent written communication for documenting sensitive system designs
