About this role

Role overview

This role covers the design, implementation, testing, and application integration of smart contracts that secure valuable assets and user trust. It combines Solidity engineering with security-focused review: every permission boundary, signature flow, upgrade decision, and gas trade-off needs to be understood before deployment. The position is suited to someone who treats adversarial thinking as part of normal development rather than a final audit step.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement smart-contract systems in Solidity from initial architecture through integration. - Create comprehensive automated tests using Foundry, Hardhat, or comparable tooling, including failure and revert scenarios. - Connect contracts to Next.js applications through libraries such as viem or ethers. - Define and review access-control models, signature validation, upgrade mechanisms, and transaction behavior. - Analyze permissionless functions and server-authorized actions for abuse cases, privilege escalation, and trust-boundary failures. - Document security findings, proposed remediations, and their trade-offs clearly in code reviews and pull requests.

Requirements

- Strong Solidity development experience and a clear understanding of Ethereum-style execution and state changes. - Experience writing contract tests that cover both expected behavior and adversarial or invalid inputs. - Ability to reason rigorously about authorization, signatures, replay risks, upgradeability, and trust assumptions. - Familiarity with integrating smart contracts into web applications. - A security-minded engineering approach, including the ability to anticipate how a seemingly safe function could be misused. - Clear written communication when explaining vulnerabilities, fixes, and residual risks.

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with both Foundry and Hardhat. - Practical knowledge of viem or ethers and their use in frontend or service integrations. - Experience evaluating gas efficiency and contract upgrade strategies.
