Remote job
Bridge / Interoperability Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Design the systems that provide a consistent view of activity and identity across multiple EVM-compatible networks. This role focuses on interoperability, cross-chain state, and the difficult definition questions behind aggregation: when records represent the same entity, which data is authoritative, and how to correct conclusions after a chain reorganizes.
Responsibilities
- Aggregate and reconcile on-chain activity from several EVM networks. - Design models for moving state, credentials, and identity-related information between chains. - Establish rules for canonical data, address relationships, and cross-chain entity resolution. - Account for chain reorganizations and revise derived state when previously observed data changes. - Evaluate the security consequences of address reuse and deterministic deployment patterns. - Explain and defend architectural decisions involving interoperability and data integrity.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of EVM execution, transactions, contracts, and blockchain state. - Hands-on experience working with multiple chains or cross-chain systems. - Ability to reason about finality, reorgs, provenance, and conflicting source data. - Familiarity with identity and deduplication risks in decentralized systems. - Understanding of how CREATE2 can enable identical contract addresses across networks. - Sound security judgment, particularly around Sybil resistance and naive cross-chain assumptions.
