About this role
Role overview Lead quantitative research and evaluation work examining Medicare payment and service delivery models. The role combines technical direction of complex evaluations with project leadership, staff development, federal client engagement, and support for new business opportunities.
Responsibilities - Lead tasks or workstreams on evaluations, overseeing delivery quality, staffing, schedules, and client relationships. - Guide evaluation methods, including quasi-experimental and mixed-methods designs, claims and EHR analyses, and beneficiary, provider, and subgroup outcomes. - Contribute to capture planning, opportunity development, client engagement, and proposals for federal health programs. - Coach and manage colleagues, setting development goals and supporting a team culture that values varied perspectives. - Explain complex findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Requirements - Ph.D. in economics, health services research, quantitative psychology, or a related field plus at least 3 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus at least 7 years. - At least 2 years managing tasks or workstreams within larger projects, including leadership on one or more innovation-model evaluations. - Experience contributing to successful proposals for federal health agencies. - Extensive knowledge of Medicare payment policy, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid. - Familiarity with Medicare and provider claims, survey and EHR data, and public datasets; ability to handle data containing protected health or personal information appropriately. - Strong leadership, organization, writing, relationship-building, and communication skills, including experience with large federally funded projects.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within the United States or based at a U.S. office; U.S. territories are excluded. - Anticipated annual salary range: $120,000–$150,000 for U.S.-based candidates. - Applicants must already be authorized to work full time in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is unavailable.
