Founding Engineer Full-Stack

Role overview Help build and expand a platform that turns medical records and other clinical inputs into structured information and automated workflows. As an early full-stack engineer, you’ll work closely with the founders, shape core product decisions, and take on a broad range of engineering work with potential impact on healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities - Design architecture and data models for major platform features. - Develop and maintain core platform capabilities using TypeScript and Node.js; the frontend uses Svelte, which can be learned on the job. - Work with clinicians at pilot practices to understand and improve real-world workflows. - Build services that use OCR and AI agents to locate relevant information in PDFs. - Evaluate and benchmark AI models and pipelines. - Develop an integration strategy for healthcare infrastructure interfaces and implement it.

Requirements - At least five years of software development experience, including three or more years with TypeScript and web development. - Strong independence, initiative, and evidence of delivering a substantial software project. - A generalist approach and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and domains. - German proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have - Experience in healthcare or health technology, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps. - Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7 v2, or TI. - Knowledge of machine learning, a strong UI/UX sensibility, or research experience.
