Junior Python Developer

Role overview

Help develop a software platform that applies AI to the analysis of complex legal documents. Working with senior engineers and data scientists, you’ll contribute Python code, AI integrations, and data pipelines, while learning through reviews and collaboration across product and customer teams.

Responsibilities

- Write, test, and maintain Python services and APIs. - Assist with integrating and tuning AI models, including large language models, and improving prompts. - Build and maintain pipelines for ingesting and processing legal documents. - Take part in code reviews and technical discussions with experienced teammates. - Work with product and customer-facing colleagues to investigate bugs and release features.

Requirements

- 1–3 years of Python experience through work, study, or personal projects. - Understanding of large language model fundamentals and experience using AI APIs. - Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control and team development. - Basic experience with REST APIs, SQL or NoSQL databases, and software testing. - Experience with Elasticsearch. - Curiosity, persistence in troubleshooting, and readiness to learn from feedback.

Nice to have

- Exposure to AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, and familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. - Interest or experience in legal technology or eDiscovery. - A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience; cloud or AI/ML certifications are a plus.
