Senior Software Engineer - Alti Team

Role overview Senior product engineer joining a small squad to scale an AI agent product that helps service-based small and mid-sized businesses with money movement and financial workflows. The role blends hands-on AI and LLM feature delivery with evaluation, observability, and taking machine learning models to production in a remote position based in Brazil.

Responsibilities - Build and ship product features end to end, spanning conversational AI, agents, and automated routines. - Design and improve RAG pipelines and prompt strategies, and build LLM evaluation pipelines to measure quality and catch regressions. - Set up monitoring and observability for AI features, covering prompts, models, and usage. - Help take machine learning models into production with monitoring and continuous feedback loops. - Partner with Product and Design to identify where AI and machine learning can solve real customer problems.

Requirements - Solid experience as a software engineer who has built and shipped product features. - Hands-on work on AI products in the last 12 months, including LLMs, agents, or AI features, without necessarily having led the work. - Experience with at least one of: chatbots or conversational AI, RAG, or LLM evaluation pipelines. - Strong skills in at least one of Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Python. - A product mindset focused on what gets delivered to users, not only the model, and comfort owning many parts of the delivery chain in a fast-paced environment. - Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to have - Prompt engineering experience and AI monitoring and observability tooling. - Experience building autonomous or personal agents that work across channels such as Slack, Teams, or WhatsApp. - Experience putting machine learning models into production with monitoring and feedback loops. - Background in fintech, payments, or financial products, and experience at an early-stage startup from Seed to Series B. - A track record of building and scaling ML or LLM products.

Benefits and work setup - Remote position based in Brazil. - Total compensation range of $90,000 to $105,000 plus equity, with pay calibrated to experience and skills. - Equity opportunities, unlimited PTO, and flexibility when needed. - Yearly learning and development stipend.
