Senior Medical Economics Analyst

Role overview Lead healthcare analytics work that helps operational and executive teams make informed decisions across a managed services organization. The role combines team leadership, business intelligence, and hands-on analysis of financial, clinical, provider, and operational data to improve performance and care outcomes.

Responsibilities - Guide and develop analytics staff, set priorities with business leaders, and align analytics work to organizational goals. - Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and self-service tools; define measures for operational, financial, provider, and quality performance. - Analyze claims, eligibility, network, utilization, quality, financial, and population health data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities. - Present findings as clear recommendations and support projects such as provider performance management, network growth, value-based care, and regulatory reporting. - Work with contracting, network, compliance, claims, accounting, and finance teams to address business needs and improve efficiency, engagement, outcomes, and cost of care. - Promote data quality and consistent reporting, streamline workflows, and help build scalable analytics processes.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in analytics, information systems, public health, healthcare administration, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field. - At least five years of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, data management, or a related analytical role. - At least two years of experience leading or managing analytics professionals. - Strong healthcare data analysis, reporting, and business communication skills; able to turn complex findings into practical recommendations.
