Staff Software Engineer

Role overview Own the architecture and ongoing development of a large-scale entity data platform. The system brings together company information from global data providers, resolves records into dependable entities, and supplies current, accurate data to downstream users. A central goal is to reduce manual review while preserving confidence, traceability, and speed.

Responsibilities - Design and evolve platform components for ingesting, matching, creating, and delivering entity records from diverse data sources. - Improve data accuracy and freshness at scale while reducing dependence on human validation. - Combine deterministic matching with AI-assisted resolution, confidence scoring, provenance, and review workflows. - Define traceability standards that explain where data came from and why records were matched or created. - Own production reliability in the area, respond to incidents, and improve observability through ongoing hardening. - Set technical standards, mentor engineers, and align with product and downstream teams on quality goals.

Requirements - Eight or more years building and operating production systems at scale. - Demonstrated experience with data ingestion, entity resolution, matching, or normalization. - Strong background in distributed systems, data pipelines, reference data, platform engineering, or AI-supported classification and validation. - Excellent software design and architecture skills, including the ability to combine probabilistic and deterministic methods responsibly. - Experience evolving live systems with many downstream consumers, with a track record in incident response and reliability improvements. - Ability to establish engineering practices, document decisions, and support the growth of other engineers.

Nice to have - Financial or company reference data, vendor reconciliation, data lineage, confidence scoring, quarantine workflows, or end-to-end vendor integrations. - Cloud-native architecture and platforms shared across teams.
