About this role
Role overview Set the quality strategy for company reference data that supports search, company profiles, and other dependent product features. You’ll define how correctness is measured, build automated safeguards across data and software workflows, and work with engineering and product leaders to make quality a consistent part of delivery.
Responsibilities - Establish a quality-by-design strategy with automation as a default for reference data. - Expand coverage for data ingestion, record matching, identifier stability, and delivery of entity data and change events. - Define data correctness using golden datasets, labeled samples, and automated checks; measure match precision and recall, including the risks of false merges and splits. - Set quality measures and release standards, and build automation across data, API, and event-driven interfaces. - Choose suitable coverage across unit, component, API, and end-to-end testing; anticipate provider drift, schema changes, and late or conflicting records. - Use production signals to prioritize customer risk, incorporate AI into test design and triage, and coach engineers across teams.
Requirements - At least eight years in hands-on quality engineering, including strategy for complex backend or data platforms. - Experience automating backend and data-system tests, including API and contract tests, pipeline validation, and event-driven or streaming interfaces. - Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Kotlin/Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Ruby. - Deep knowledge of test design across unit, API, and end-to-end layers. - Experience validating data correctness at scale, ideally in matching, identity, or pipeline-driven systems. - Understanding of CI/CD and release quality gates, plus experience using AI to accelerate engineering or testing. - Able to set direction independently, influence without formal authority, and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have Data pipelines or data-operations tooling, Playwright end-to-end automation, financial or company reference data, AI/LLM output evaluation, or a relevant technical degree.
