Senior Product Manager, Developer Experience
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Lead the developer experience for an API that lets enterprise engineering teams and partners embed AI-driven intelligence into their own applications. The role spans the full integration journey, from first visit and authentication to production use, with a focus on making setup fast, familiar, and easy to troubleshoot. The work begins with this API and may help shape developer standards across a broader product platform.
Responsibilities - Improve the developer journey from initial discovery through authentication, first successful request, integration, and production. - Guide the developer portal, reference documentation, quickstarts, tutorials, code samples, changelogs, SDKs, and client libraries. - Align API conventions with the patterns developers already expect when building with language models and agents. - Improve structured responses, logging, tracing, and error messages so developers can understand and troubleshoot agent workflows. - Reduce setup friction in credentials, authentication, and testing, using time-to-first-call as a key outcome. - Use developer analytics, support feedback, and direct conversations to shape priorities; coordinate with engineering, marketing, and customer education.
Requirements - Experience owning developer products such as public APIs, SDKs, or developer portals, with an understanding of integration workflows. - Technical fluency to read API documentation, authenticate, make requests, and discuss complex implementation choices with engineers. - Familiarity with current conventions for SDKs, errors, and tools used to build with language models and agents. - Treat documentation, onboarding, working examples, and actionable error messages as core parts of the product. - Experience in a fast-scaling enterprise environment and the ability to establish standards as a developer experience grows.
Nice to have
Experience building products that developers embed in applications for their own end users is particularly relevant.
