About this role

Role overview Set a cohesive developer experience strategy across the software development lifecycle, connecting local development and internal tooling with CI/CD and production systems. You’ll work with engineering leadership and platform teams to identify organization-wide improvements, measure their impact, and guide adoption of AI-enabled practices with appropriate standards and safeguards.

Responsibilities - Define and evolve developer experience priorities in partnership with engineering leaders. - Coordinate improvements across inner-loop tooling and outer-loop platform and delivery systems. - Identify friction across the end-to-end developer journey and guide teams toward consistent, scalable solutions. - Establish shared productivity measures and engineering insights, including relevant delivery and developer experience metrics. - Shape internal developer platforms and self-service capabilities, and improve CI/CD reliability and predictability. - Lead adoption of AI-assisted software development practices, partnering across engineering, SRE, and platform teams; mentor engineers and influence without direct authority.

Requirements - Extensive experience in developer experience, platform engineering, and large-scale engineering systems, grounded in software engineering. - Proven ability to define and drive technical strategy across organizational boundaries and multiple domains. - Experience with internal developer platforms, self-service ecosystems, and CI/CD improvement at scale. - Strong understanding of developer productivity metrics and engineering insights, such as DORA or DX measures. - Recent experience adopting or driving AI-enabled workflows across the software development lifecycle. - Strong communication and influencing skills, with familiarity in cloud-native systems and Kubernetes-based platforms.

Nice to have - Familiarity with progressive delivery techniques such as feature flags and canary releases. - Experience with frontend platforms or microfrontend architectures. - Availability in an Eastern US or UK time zone for closer collaboration with the team.

Benefits and work setup The role may include performance-based bonus, equity, and a benefits program.
