About this role
Role overview
Lead product strategy for search and curated research experiences across a large business-document collection. Search quality, coverage, speed, and reliability underpin many product surfaces, while curated experiences such as company and industry profiles help users begin and organize research. This is a leadership role with ownership of strategy, measurement, delivery, and a small team that includes a domain-focused product manager.
Responsibilities - Own search relevance, ranking, query understanding, document coverage, filters, latency, and reliability across dependent product surfaces. - Guide adoption and engagement for company profiles and future curated research experiences. - Set a roadmap that balances relevance, content coverage, performance, and business priorities. - Establish metrics, benchmarks, and experiments to assess search quality and demonstrate improvement. - Coordinate with teams working on knowledge graphs, AI, engineering, and design so search and its related experiences develop together. - Manage and mentor a product manager, clarify ownership, and lead work from strategy and experimentation through launch and iteration.
Requirements - Deep technical product experience with large-scale search and relevance systems, including ranking, retrieval, query understanding, and evaluation. - Ability to reason about content representation, freshness, quality, and system design tradeoffs. - Strong ownership and judgment to set direction and carry complex programs through to measurable outcomes. - People leadership skills, including experience managing and developing product managers. - Analytical decision-making grounded in metrics, alongside clear communication that aligns engineering, design, and product marketing.
