Solution Architect - Investment Technology

Role overview

This Solution Architect position sits within the technology implementation and business integration practice of a boutique consultancy focused exclusively on the global asset and wealth management industry. The architect will partner with leading investment firms on complex transformation programs centered on investment technology platforms, blending strategic advisory with hands-on solution design. The role spans the full transformation lifecycle, from shaping program strategy through to delivery oversight.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design of technology solutions for asset and wealth management clients, addressing front-to-back investment platform requirements - Translate complex business needs into scalable solution architectures spanning portfolio management, trading, operations, and data domains - Partner with senior client stakeholders to shape program roadmaps, solution blueprints, and integration strategies - Guide multidisciplinary consulting and technical teams through implementation milestones, ensuring quality outcomes - Advise on investment technology vendor ecosystems, integration patterns, and platform selection - Contribute to internal capability building and mentor junior team members

Requirements

- Significant experience architecting technology solutions within asset management, wealth management, or adjacent financial services - Deep familiarity with investment operations workflows such as portfolio management, order management, accounting, and reporting - Proven ability to lead complex technology transformation or implementation programs from design through delivery - Strong stakeholder management skills and experience advising senior client decision-makers - Track record of collaborating across cross-functional teams in consulting, vendor, or buy-side environments
