Backend Developer .Net - Remote from EU - Deadline 27/10/26

Role overview Develop and support backend services in .NET 8 or later as part of a scalable microservices solution. The work spans data integrations, SQL Server, messaging, deployment pipelines, Kubernetes packaging, and operational visibility, with attention to security and service reliability. The role is remote from Europe and restricted to EU citizens.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain backend services that read, transform, and write data across APIs, databases, search, cache, messaging, graph stores, and files. - Implement reliable, performant, scalable, and secure microservices that meet requirements and service-level agreements. - Create and maintain unit and integration tests, review teammates’ pull requests, and document technical designs. - Manage Azure DevOps build and release pipelines and test plans; maintain Helm charts for supported services. - Write and support complex SQL Server stored procedures, Elasticsearch queries, and Kibana dashboards. - Implement OAuth-related mechanisms and follow secure coding, logging, and auditing practices.

Requirements - More than 15 years in IT, including over nine years in software development and over five years in recent .NET backend development. - More than three years designing scalable backend components such as REST APIs, integrations, or microservices. - Experience with containers and orchestration, OAuth in production systems, and agile/Scrum delivery. - Strong knowledge of C# and .NET 8+, SQL Server, Git, object-oriented design, and SOLID principles. - Familiarity with asynchronous programming, messaging patterns and brokers, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. - Ability to produce clear technical documentation, work in international teams, and communicate effectively with both peers and senior stakeholders.
