Role overview Join a small remote team that maintains a large-scale game server hosting platform supporting tens of thousands of active servers. This full-time full stack position focuses on building clean, well-tested software across the entire stack, from backend services to user-facing interfaces. It suits someone who thrives in an independent, asynchronous environment and enjoys applying engineering skills to consumer-facing gaming infrastructure.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain clean, well-tested full stack software - Work independently in a remote environment, communicating primarily through text and voice channels - Collaborate via Git, pull requests, and structured code review processes - Develop backend services in Java and Spring, including REST microservices - Build interactive front-end features using JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js - Operate and maintain Docker containers within the deployment pipeline - Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability across the stack
Requirements - U.S. citizen currently residing in the United States - 18 years of age or older - A personal computer, microphone, and reliable high-speed internet - At least a four-year computer science degree or equivalent experience - Strong working knowledge of Linux from a programming and DevOps perspective - Proficiency in Java with solid object-oriented programming skills - Hands-on experience with Spring, especially IOC, Web, and JPA - JavaScript experience with frameworks such as Node.js and React - Comfort with HTML, CSS, CSS modules, and responsive design - Experience building and running Docker containers - Ability to build programs that communicate with SQL databases such as MySQL - Skill designing basic databases and schemas - Experience designing and consuming REST microservices - Familiarity with Git, pull request workflows, and issue tracking - Unit and integration testing experience
