Role overview
Develop a mobile app for merchants and shoppers, delivering a smooth experience on both iOS and Android. The role centers on React Native and Expo, with Arabic-language interfaces and right-to-left support built into the product, as well as collaboration with backend engineers on reliable integrations.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cross-platform features using React Native and Expo. - Implement Arabic-language interfaces and right-to-left behavior throughout the app. - Improve responsiveness by reducing time to interaction and bundle size. - Work with backend engineers to define API contracts. - Create unit and end-to-end tests with Jest and Detox. - Review code and help establish mobile engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least three years of React Native development experience. - Experience with Expo and the React Native New Architecture, including Fabric. - Understanding of differences between iOS and Android. - Proficiency with TypeScript and experience with Expo Router or React Navigation. - Familiarity with EAS Build and over-the-air updates.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering Arabic-language or right-to-left mobile apps. - Familiarity with Reanimated 3 and complex animations. - Contributions to open-source React Native projects.
