Forward Deployed Data Scientist

Role overview Work directly with customer teams to turn operational problems into practical data science and AI solutions. You will visit users, understand their needs, rapidly prototype and evaluate solutions, and work with engineering and product partners to deliver useful systems into production. The role calls for end-to-end ownership and comfort adapting as customer priorities become clearer.

Responsibilities - Visit customer sites, ask questions and diagnose the problems behind requests. - Translate loosely defined needs into technical requirements and workable AI or data science approaches. - Build customer-facing prototypes using statistical modeling, machine learning, AI, heuristics or agent-based methods. - Gather user feedback, prioritize solution gaps and iterate on prototypes and deployed capabilities. - Collaborate with engineering, implementation, design and product teams to deliver maintainable production solutions. - Evaluate results with customers and help turn useful capabilities into reusable features for future deployments.

Requirements - U.S. citizenship. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience. - At least one year delivering data science, machine learning or AI solutions into production software. - Ability to translate customer problems into technical requirements and integrate AI or data science solutions into agent-based frameworks. - End-to-end ownership, independent judgment and strong communication with both technical and non-technical users. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver software in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have - Existing U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one with sponsorship. - Experience in startups, customer-facing consulting or federally accredited software environments.
