About this role
Role overview Evaluate AI-generated solutions to software engineering problems that call for Rust expertise. You’ll probe model reasoning across application and systems topics, assess the quality of its code, and document failures in a way that supports model improvement.
Responsibilities - Work through software engineering tasks and technical scenarios with AI models using Rust. - Evaluate solutions for logical accuracy, coding fluency, quality, and clarity. - Assess topics such as asynchronous programming, REST API integration, memory management, object-oriented design, and secure coding. - Review debugging approaches for distributed systems and capture reproducible error traces. - Suggest changes to prompts and evaluation measures based on recurring weaknesses.
Requirements - Fluent Rust skills and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software architecture, and systems programming. - Ability to evaluate asynchronous code, memory management, API integration, and security considerations. - Strong written communication, including the ability to explain reasoning and document failure modes clearly. - A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field is described as ideal; relevant Rust experience, technical writing, or open-source contributions are also cited.
Benefits and work setup - Contract engagement; work is remote. - Stated pay range is $6–$65 per hour, with the rate based on experience, expertise, and location; the final offer may differ from the range. - Contractors provide a secure computer and high-speed internet.
