Kotlin Coding Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

Role overview Create and review Kotlin solutions for real-world Android development tasks, such as bug fixes and feature requests in code repositories. The focus is on producing technically correct, maintainable, and idiomatic patches that reflect current Android practices and can also help evaluate AI-generated code.

Responsibilities - Analyze repository-based bug reports and feature requests, then implement Kotlin code changes. - Review AI-generated code, identify errors, and produce corrected or optimized solutions. - Apply modern Android patterns and libraries in solutions, with attention to maintainability and clarity. - Document coding practices and explain technical decisions in a structured way.

Requirements - Production-level experience building and maintaining Android applications with Kotlin. - Hands-on familiarity with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and libraries such as Room, WorkManager, DataStore, ViewModel, and Hilt. - Knowledge of Gradle build configuration, dependency management, and networking tools such as OkHttp or Retrofit. - Clear communication skills and the ability to explain implementation choices.

Nice to have - Experience with Android multimedia tools such as CameraX, ExoPlayer, or Media3.

Benefits and work setup - Remote contract work, with pay stated at $35 or more per hour; the final rate depends on experience, expertise, and location. - Contractors provide their own secure computer and high-speed internet. Employer-sponsored health insurance and paid time off are not included.
