Remote job
3D Modeling & Python Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project
Job details
About this role
Role overview Create programmatically generated 3D assets and structured data for an AI training project focused on geometry and motion trajectories. The work involves turning 2D references into collision-accurate meshes, writing procedural scripts, and documenting how each asset is built so the results can be reproduced and reviewed.
Responsibilities - Generate 3D geometry with Blender Python or Three.js/JavaScript, using primitives and operations such as unions, cuts, and extrusions. - Build meshes from masked and RGB reference images, align them accurately, and capture screenshots showing the alignment. - Export completed assets in formats such as OBJ or GLB. - Produce JSON or JavaScript outputs that represent the mesh and maintain sequential logs of construction actions. - Check assets against quality requirements, follow file-naming conventions, and deliver work through a structured annotation platform.
Requirements - Strong coding ability in Blender Python (bpy) and/or Three.js/JavaScript; GUI-only modeling experience is not sufficient. - Solid understanding of geometric primitives and Boolean operations, with an emphasis on low-poly construction. - Experience producing collision-accurate meshes from 2D references. - Careful documentation, consistent naming, and the ability to self-review work against detailed criteria. - A secure computer and high-speed internet for remote contract work.
Nice to have - Experience creating game assets. - Familiarity with screen-recording or keylogging tools, or with AI/ML data annotation.
Benefits and work setup - Remote freelance/independent contractor engagement at a stated fixed rate of $22 per hour. - Contractors provide their own computer and internet. Employer-sponsored health insurance and paid time off are not included.
