Visual Designer II

Role overview Create motion-led visual design that helps customers understand digital financial products and feel confident using them. This role combines animation, illustration, interaction design, and visual storytelling across product interfaces and customer communications, with a focus on clear, accessible, and consistent experiences.

Responsibilities - Design motion and visual experiences for in-app surfaces, websites, email, customer journeys, and product marketing. - Produce animations, motion studies, illustrated assets, icons, and interaction patterns that clarify product behavior and direct attention. - Take projects from concept and storyboards through high-fidelity design, prototyping, production, and implementation. - Map user flows and develop interaction concepts in partnership with product design teams. - Create reusable assets, motion patterns, guidelines, and components for product and communication systems. - Prepare implementation specifications and work with engineers to support accessible, performant results.

Requirements - At least 3 years of professional motion, animation, visual, communication, or product design experience in a product-focused setting. - A portfolio showing motion and visual craft, including animation, interaction, illustration, and digital storytelling. - Strong understanding of animation principles such as timing, pacing, easing, transitions, and choreography. - Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, LottieFiles, Rive, or comparable tools. - Familiarity with HTML and CSS and the constraints of production, especially for email and mobile. - Understanding of UX fundamentals, including user flows, interaction design, and information hierarchy, with the ability to explain decisions and incorporate feedback.

Benefits and work setup - Remote-first within the country of employment; occasional office attendance may be required, and new hires are invited to in-person onboarding. - The listed annual base salary range is CAD $101,000–$151,000. The package may include equity, health coverage, monthly technology and wellness stipends, flexible time off, holidays, and an employee stock purchase plan.
