Role overview
Build and operate full-stack capabilities for an advertising platform that helps merchant partners reach relevant shoppers through a personalized commerce experience. With guidance from technical leadership, you’ll deliver work in stages, collaborate across product disciplines, and help maintain reliable services used by the platform.
Responsibilities - Break larger engineering projects into manageable tasks and deliver them across planned phases with teammates. - Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and development, explaining technical constraints and weighing risks and trade-offs. - Build, test, and extend software that connects multiple components to address product and business needs. - Help maintain service operations by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call and reliability work. - Review code, support peers, and take part in team development activities, including interviews.
Requirements - At least 1.5 years of professional software engineering experience. - Experience shipping web applications with a declarative UI framework such as React. - Experience designing, building, and launching APIs at scale using a language such as Python or Kotlin. - Ability to turn a defined problem into a solution spanning multiple software components, with clear, well-tested, extensible code. - Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging existing code, and providing useful feedback in code reviews. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to seek feedback and take ownership of professional growth. - A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Remote role open to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan. The organization is remote-first, though some roles may require occasional office work, and new hires are invited to in-person onboarding. Listed Canadian base pay is CAD $133,000–$183,000 per year.
