Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Marketplace and Consumer Experiences)

Role overview A senior staff engineering position focused on shaping technical direction for the consumer-facing marketplace and search surfaces that anchor a large digital lending platform. The role partners closely with engineering leadership to define long-term technical strategy, coordinate across multiple full-stack teams, and deliver scalable, reliable experiences across iOS, Android, and web. It blends deep architectural work with people leadership and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities - Define and own the technical vision, multi-year roadmap, and strategic initiatives for marketplace, search, ads platform, and app experiences - Partner with stakeholders across the engineering organization to drive technical excellence tied to business and customer outcomes - Foster a strong ownership culture with high accountability, building systems designed for scale and efficiency - Lead the design, implementation, and extension of core platform components that enable new products and features - Make architectural calls on platforms, tools, and technologies to ensure consistency, reliability, and performance - Mentor and guide engineers, championing best practices and supporting their growth

Requirements - 10+ years of experience working across the full stack, with a track record of driving backend architectural improvements - Experience with languages such as React Native, JavaScript, or Kotlin is a plus - Demonstrated success leading critical projects that span multiple engineering teams across organizational boundaries - History of developing technical strategy that produced measurable gains in reliability and responsiveness - Prior project management or people management experience, with strong influence, communication, and coaching skills - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
