Role overview A consumer fintech is hiring a Senior Director of Product Management to lead the post-purchase experience organization, spanning end-to-end repayments, collections, recoveries, and the underlying servicing platforms. This is a senior leadership role responsible for setting multi-year strategy across a large, multi-domain product group while balancing customer experience, credit performance, regulatory compliance, and unit economics. The leader will manage approximately 15 product managers and partner deeply with engineering, risk, operations, legal, and finance teams.
Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and scale a team of roughly 15 product managers (including people managers), setting a high bar for product craft, execution, and talent development. - Define and own the multi-year vision for the end-to-end repayment journey, including app and web experiences, payment platforms, and support for customers in financial difficulty. - Set product strategy for collections and recoveries, including smarter treatments, flexible payment options, retry logic, and scalable operational capabilities. - Drive the roadmap for foundational platforms covering communications, open banking, credit reporting, bankruptcy, and hardship servicing. - Establish success metrics across payment performance, delinquency, recovery, transaction costs, complaints, and operational efficiency. - Align engineering, analytics, credit, risk, operations, finance, legal, and compliance around shared priorities and translate strategy into execution. - Build platform capabilities that support new products, international expansion, and evolving regulatory requirements. - Communicate strategy, investment priorities, performance, and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders.
Requirements - 15+ years of product management experience, including leading large, multi-domain PM organizations that include people managers. - Deep background in consumer fintech, lending, payments, servicing, collections, or another regulated financial environment. - Demonstrated ability to set and execute multi-year strategies spanning customer experience and operational platforms. - Strong analytical and technical judgment, with the ability to balance customer outcomes, risk, compliance, and economics. - Track record of driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, risk, legal, compliance, finance, and executive leadership. - Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience developing senior product talent. - Comfort using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and decision-making. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have - Experience building platforms that scale internationally and adapt to varied regulatory regimes. - Familiarity with credit reporting, open banking integrations, or hardship and bankruptcy servicing workflows.
