Senior Security Engineer

Role overview Lead security operations and engineering work focused on protecting enterprise environments from evolving threats. This senior role combines hands-on monitoring, threat hunting, and incident response with security architecture, client guidance, and technical leadership for junior team members.

Responsibilities - Lead security operations center activities and maintain monitoring capabilities, including SIEM solutions. - Hunt for threats and coordinate incident response, investigation, and forensic work. - Design security architectures suited to enterprise environments. - Assess client security posture and advise on improvements. - Mentor junior security staff and provide technical direction. - Maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation while tracking changes in threats and tools.

Requirements - At least five years of experience in cybersecurity and security operations. - Deep knowledge of SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic. - Strong background in threat detection, incident response, and forensics. - Expertise in frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. - Practical experience with security technologies such as IDS/IPS, EDR, and SOAR. - Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice to have - Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or GCIA; additional GREM, GCIH, or SANS credentials are also relevant. - Cloud security experience, threat intelligence platform knowledge, red team or penetration testing experience, or prior security team leadership.
