Lead Software Developer, AI Platform: Kaidera

Role overview Lead delivery and engineering quality for a production platform that helps organisations build and operate governed teams of AI workers. The role combines hands-on software development with building the engineering team, delivery practices and standards needed to grow the platform reliably. Technical direction and product architecture sit with the CTO; this role is accountable for execution and the team’s work.

Responsibilities - Turn the platform roadmap into delivered work across the customer workbench, AI worker coordination, persistent memory, model routing, approval controls and administration. - Improve the platform’s readiness for enterprise use, including security, separation between customer environments and audit capabilities. - Write and review code while guiding delivery, quality and engineering decisions across a small team. - Establish the development lifecycle for the team, from shaping and specifying work through building, testing, releasing and supporting it. - Recruit and grow the engineering team, including coaching junior developers and building effective habits in a remote team.

Requirements - Significant software engineering experience, including experience working in larger engineering teams. - A track record of creating a software development lifecycle for a new team rather than inheriting an established process. - Experience mentoring junior developers and helping them develop their skills. - Comfortable moving between production investigation, code review, team retrospectives and coaching. - Interested in building an engineering function as well as contributing directly to software; the role is not suited to someone seeking individual coding work alone.
