Junior Developer, AI Platform: Kaidera

Role overview Join an engineering team developing a production platform for organisations to build and run governed teams of AI workers. You’ll contribute across backend and frontend work, beginning with well-scoped tasks and taking on more responsibility as your skills develop. Senior engineers provide regular pairing, code review and feedback, with opportunities to understand how the wider platform is built and operated.

Responsibilities - Build product features and fix bugs in the Python backend and TypeScript frontend. - Add automated tests for your changes and learn how to assess test quality. - Participate in code reviews, using feedback to improve your work and contributing thoughtful reviews of others’ changes. - Follow the team’s development process from work specification through implementation, testing, release and support. - Document your work clearly so other team members can understand and maintain it. - Use AI coding tools carefully, checking their output and understanding the code before relying on it.

Requirements - Sound fundamentals in Python and a working grasp of JavaScript or TypeScript. - Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, plus an understanding of REST APIs. - Familiarity with Git and the basics of collaborating on shared code. - Evidence of building software, such as a personal project, bootcamp work or a degree project. - Curiosity, care with details, willingness to learn and openness to feedback.

Nice to have Experience with React or Next.js, Docker or open-source contributions may be useful. An interest in aviation or other regulated fields is also welcome.
