Senior Data Platform Engineer (Azure, Databricks, Terraform)

Role overview This is a senior-level engineering position focused on building, operating, and evolving a modern data platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. The role centers on data and AI infrastructure, combining cloud platform engineering, data engineering, and infrastructure-as-code practices to deliver reliable, scalable data services.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain data platform components on Azure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security - Develop and operate Databricks-based workloads, including pipelines, notebooks, and supporting infrastructure - Author and manage Terraform configurations to provision and govern cloud resources as code - Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns that support analytics and AI use cases - Collaborate with data, analytics, and AI teams to translate platform requirements into well-engineered solutions - Apply platform engineering best practices such as automation, observability, and CI/CD to the data stack

Requirements - Senior professional experience in data platform or data engineering roles - Strong, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services - Solid working knowledge of Databricks for data processing and analytics workloads - Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and repeatable deployments - Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns, including lakehouse, batch, and streaming approaches - Comfort working in remote, distributed engineering environments
