Full Stack Engineer

Role overview A federal services technology team is hiring multiple Full Stack Engineers to support a government client based in the San Antonio, TX area. The work spans defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health programs, focused on building secure, scalable web applications that serve public-sector missions.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the full technology stack - Build backend services in Java and develop RESTful APIs with secure, high-performance data handling - Deploy, monitor, and optimize solutions on AWS using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and serverless components - Implement responsive user interfaces with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions - Troubleshoot issues across the stack and continuously improve application quality and performance

Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience developing with Java, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Ansible - Experience in REST API development - Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch - Experience working with Node.js - Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred

Nice to have - Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Podman and Linux environments - Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience building, consuming, and securing RESTful APIs

Benefits and work setup Reasonable compensation ranges are provided based on labor market data, with a base pay range of $91,700–$178,700 USD depending on location, role, skill set, and experience.
