Cloud Administrator

Role overview A Cloud Administrator role providing operational support across AWS and Azure environments supporting federal agency applications. The position centers on administering and operating the Turbot governance platform, executing migrations, and coordinating operations and maintenance activities with system and project teams. It is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on stability, security, and continuous refinement of cloud environments.

Responsibilities - Install, upgrade, configure, and operate the Turbot solution for AWS in support of security and compliance governance. - Use infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or GraphQL to build and refine environments. - Configure and maintain core services including authentication, monitoring, security, and configuration management. - Support deployment of monitoring tooling for AWS and Azure across Windows and Linux hosts. - Create and maintain automation scripts and gold images, and report on infrastructure health. - Maintain production operations manuals (POMs) and use CSP portals and approved tooling to support application environments.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience. - Minimum 3 years of direct experience administering the Turbot platform for security and compliance governance. - 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS operational tools and cloud compliance. - Current AWS or Azure certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect, AZ-900, or AZ-104. - Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Git, Linux troubleshooting, networking, scripting, and systems administration. - Practical experience with Terraform and/or GraphQL. - U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to have - Familiarity with performance and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics. - Exposure to security tooling such as Nessus, NetSkope, eMASS, or Centrify. - Working knowledge of DevOps/Ops tooling including ServiceNow, Splunk, Jira Service Desk, GitHub, Cloudockit, or ScienceLogic. - Containerization experience with Red Hat OpenShift and configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, Docker, or Kubernetes. - Familiarity with AWS/Azure native services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, KMS, IAM, VPC, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, RBAC, and ARM templates. - ITIL knowledge, federal contracting experience, and skills in SOP/technical documentation writing.

Benefits and work setup - Listed base compensation range of approximately $91,300–$184,900 USD for specified U.S. locations, varying by office, role, skill set, and experience.
