About this role
Role overview Lead enterprise AI strategy, delivery, and governance for a federal-focused technology organization, using modern generative AI and machine learning platforms. The role combines hands-on architecture of end-to-end solutions with team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and responsible AI oversight. Applicants must be US citizens eligible for Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities - Define the AI vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to mission and business goals. - Identify high-value AI and ML use cases across operations, customer experience, risk, and productivity. - Architect and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions spanning LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, pipelines, MLOps, and CI/CD. - Lead workshops, drive stakeholder alignment, and communicate with executive audiences. - Oversee model governance, responsible AI practices, security, compliance, and performance tracking. - Mentor data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, and platform engineers across the organization.
Requirements - US citizen eligible for Public Trust clearance, with no current or future visa sponsorship required. - 3+ years leading technical teams to deliver outcomes in cloud or on-prem environments, including setting standards and guiding technology decisions. - 3+ years leading AI/ML teams or initiatives in complex enterprise settings. - Demonstrated delivery of end-to-end AI/ML solutions using Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, or comparable cloud AI platforms. - Solid understanding of generative AI, large language models, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases. - Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems, plus responsible AI frameworks and model governance.
Nice to have - Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer, Data Engineer, or Architect certification. - Master's or PhD in AI/ML or a related field. - Experience in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, or NIST. - Prior leadership of AI modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
