Professional Services Consultant (Self Service)
Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a Self-Serve Professional Services team focused on post-sales technical deployment for smaller, lower-touch accounts. The consultant owns a high-volume, high-turnover portfolio of concurrent deployments and is expected to bring customers to full value in days, not weeks, against a 12-day time-to-value target. West Coast–based candidates are preferred to align with customer time zones and deployment cadence.
Responsibilities - Manage a large portfolio of self-serve deployments, driving activation and value realization within a 12-day time-to-value window. - Lead a largely asynchronous deployment motion via templated communications, guides, and a self-service portal, with occasional ad-hoc calls when needed. - Triage open deployments daily, classify status (not activated, partially deployed, ready to close), and prioritize accounts needing attention. - Troubleshoot common blockers using internal runbooks and escalate non-standard issues to senior consultants, support, or engineering with full context. - Guide customers to activate every purchased module across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, including inbound email security, account takeover protection, AI security mailbox, and productivity add-ons. - Spot coverage gaps proactively, escalate risks early, and keep the broader account team aligned on status and next steps.
Requirements - 2+ years in technical support or Professional Services consulting for enterprise-grade, cybersecurity-related SaaS platforms in a high-growth environment. - Hands-on experience deploying SaaS products across diverse customer environments on Azure and Google Cloud. - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, security protocols, and email authentication concepts (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). - Strong technical analysis skills to resolve ambiguous deployment issues and explain complex steps clearly in writing to non-technical customers. - Proven ability to manage many concurrent projects, prioritize ruthlessly, and consistently meet aggressive deadlines. - Comfort using AI tools to template repeatable work and focus judgment on accounts that need it.
Nice to have - Prior experience in a high-volume, digital, or tech-touch delivery model rather than a high-touch consulting model. - Familiarity with Salesforce/CRM and customer-success tools such as Gainsight to track and prioritize deployment queues. - Knowledge of API usage and integration patterns to connect the platform with other tools in a customer's stack. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $84,200–$121,000 USD, with potential eligibility for incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
